**May you place this before GOD, test the spirits, and the Holy Spirit lead you into all truth

I wanted to come here to write about what I believe is a revelation that corresponds with the message spoken in the previous post. If you’ve read my last previous post, the LORD GOD is telling us we need to grow up. We’re not pursuing spiritual maturity. We’re still in the flesh rather than walking with the Holy Spirit.

I do not think we understand the seriousness of where we are right now and needing to be where we need to be. We’re still infants, acting like children! In Hebrews 6:1-3, the WORD mentions we need to reach perfection. Our foundation should already be solidified, grounded in Christ so we can move on to the spiritual growth GOD desires us to pursue and be!

This story in the bible is directly correlated with what the church is going through and the Word I posted previously which you can go on here. The story is about David and Bathsheba in 2nd Samuel 11 & 12.

One night, as David was on his balcony walking about, he spotted, in what caught his eye, a woman bathing. As He lingered and observed her, he asked someone to get the information of the woman he saw. The information was this: Her name is Bathsheba, daughter of Eliam, and wife to Uriah the Hittite. As you’ve seen/read, Bathsheba was married. But did that stop David from pursuing her and sleeping with her? No. He took her and slept with her. David took something that was not his.

And what is worse, Bathsheba was purifying herself from her monthly period. In Leviticus 18:19 the WORD says, “Do not approach a woman to have sexual relations during the uncleanness of her monthly period.”

This tells us that David broke two rules! One, he slept with another husband’s wife and slept with the same woman during her period.

Now sometime later, she became pregnant and told David about it. During this event, David sent for Uriah the Hittite to come to him and spend time with him. This event would eventually lead Uriah to die in battle by the orders of David the King.

This was all because David sought something that was never his. If you’ve read the story, I want you to take some serious notes on the next things I’m writing. Here are three things we need to take notice of because of what David did with Bathsheba:

  1. The LORD saw what David was doing. Our GOD is omnipotent and omnipresent who searches the heart of man. David, a man anointed by GOD, committed an act that displeased the LORD (2 Samuel 11:27).
  2. Let’s pay attention to what the LORD said to David by Nathan the prophet: “I gave your master’s house to you and your master’s wives into your arms. I gave you all Israel and Judah. And if all this had been too little, I would have given you more.” (2 Samuel 12:8). This is telling us the LORD GOD, if David asked, could’ve given him what he wanted!
  3. There were consequences to David sinning which is found in 2nd Samuel 12: 10-13. Now David repented of his sin as we have found in Psalm 51, but the consequences still followed because GOD spoke them before David repented of his sin. And I urge you to read on what the consequences were! From his son Amnon to Tamar, and Absalom.

*May the Holy Spirit of Truth (Isaiah 11:1) lead to more revelation as you read this story and the events that followed.

Why is the story of David and Bathsheba important? As mentioned, the church is doing the same thing. The church, we the church, are Children of the Highest, the righteousness of GOD through Christ Jesus, and have the Holy Spirit living in us if we desire to be led by Him. We have the riches of His glorious inheritance (Ephesians 1:8) in which we have all things.

Yet we still observe the world, and linger on it! And if we linger enough, we’ll end up acting like David, going after what is not ours, the world. Why gain the whole wide world and lose your soul?

“What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, they forfeit their soul? Or what does anyone give in exchange for their soul?” Matthew 16:26 NIV

Brothers and sisters, we don’t belong to the world, yet the church does it, displeasing GOD. We have shown utter contempt for the LORD. We have scorned Him and mocked Him, thinking that the world has more for us than the LORD. We have scorned GOD, thinking that we can say yes to the pleasures that come from the flesh.

We need to say no to ungodliness and yes to true holiness and righteousness. Do not seek the world, seek the LORD GOD, Jesus Christ. Walk in step with the Holy Spirit so you do not give in to the desires of the flesh. GOD has set you free from this, through His blood.

Abba Father who has given us all things, “everything we need to live a godly life through our knowledge of Him who called us by His glory and goodness” (2 Peter 1:3).

As David was a king, you are also a king, according to 1st Peter 2:9 TPT. So as kings, we’re meant to walk in wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Jesus Christ is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. He is the great king over us little kings. You are the king under GOD, not under the world!

So the question is this: If GOD has given us everything, why do we still seek the world? Why do we still want to dip our feet in the world?

And here’s the thing: If there is something you desire, why don’t you ask GOD? We do not have because we do not ask GOD (James 4:2-9).

Abba Father GOD is serious about this. Come fully to GOD, repent, and humble yourself before Him, and He will forgive you (1 John 1:9). Jesus Christ did not die in vain for you to still live in the world. And you did not give your life to Christ nor believed in Him to have a safety net for your salvation! Our LORD Jesus Christ is not a safety net.

Therefore, choose this day whom you’ll serve. But me and my household shall serve the LORD.

Here are some Bible verses to emphasize the importance of this:

  • Hebrews 6:1-3
  • 2nd Peter 1:3
  • 1st John 1:9
  • 1st Corinthians 3:12-15
  • Proverbs 3:5-6
  • 1st peter 2:9 TPT
  • James 4:2-9
  • Revelation 5:9-10

I also want you click on these messages that I wrote that I believe is pertinent to what the LORD is talking about now.
