In Psalms 27:8, the WORD says, My heart says of you, “Seek his face!” Your face, Lord, I will seek.” 

The word seek in the verse means to require, to ask, to desire, to request.

My brothers and sisters, there are things in life that you cannot lean on your own understanding. There are things in life that you cannot perceive and deem to be right by your own wisdom. The wisdom of GOD is greater than the wisdom of men. And what may seem right to man can lead to death; it can destroy them due to a lack of knowledge. But there is knowledge that you and I know, and that is to seek the LORD. To seek the LORD is to acknowledge Him and think/focus on Him as you seek His will in the matters of your life and what is going on around you. 

The LORD spoke to me this morning and said that He desires us to seek Him above all else. And He mentioned that when you seek Him, He will answer you. GOD alone knows the direction that we need to take, even when it comes to the events of this world. When it comes to the events of your life, He knows what you need to see/hear/and understand. But how can you know His will for your life and know what is going on around you if you don’t seek Him?

Cultivate the habit of speaking to Him daily, whether you’re in the car, shower, or bed, and seek Him for things. It could start small, then go big, or start big altogether. Open your heart unto Him, and let Him guide you by the Holy Spirit. We have a Father who wants to reveal to us great things, He wants a relationship with us, He wants us to grow close to Him, and show us a better way to live this life and know Him more and more since we belong to Him through Christ Jesus. 

Seek ye first the Kingdom of GOD and all His righteousness, and ALL these things will be added unto you. Matthew 6:33.
