1 Kings 18:37 NIV, the WORD says, “Answer me, Lord, answer me, so these people will know that you, Lord, are God, and that you are turning their hearts back again.”
In the time of King Ahab, who was known as the king who did more abominable things than the previous kings before, Elijah was the prophet of the land. He was a man who was a prophet unto GOD who spoke the truth and came against anything that was offensive to GOD.
In the story of Elijah, we can call him the repairer of altars, so that the children of GOD would worship GOD in true worship. In 1 kings 18, we see that there is a battle at Mount Carmel between the false prophets and the true prophet. Acknowledge that there was only one prophet of the LORD and 450 prophets of the false god Baal.
In the book of Revelation, in the prophetic word for the church of Ephesus, the LORD mentioned that there was one thing He had against them, and it was them losing their first love. Their focus was not on the foundation of the love of GOD but the foundation on the rules of men.
So going back to the book of 1 kings 18, the prophet Elias was repairing the altar that was broken down. He rebuild it by placing the 12 stones, representing the 12 tribes of Israel, as the altar. Then he made a trench, going around the altar so that it could hold a certain amount of water. He also placed the bull he cut into pieces, along with the wood.
He asked for water to be poured on the offering and the wood, three times. And in those three time, the water was so much that it filled the trench as well.
Now this gets interesting, the prophet, who is also the priest Elijah, walks to the altar to pray. He asked the LORD to provide to the people of Israel that the prophet had obeyed the LORD and that this doing was to bring the people of GOD back to Him.
Immediately, the first fell down and consumed the offering, the wood, the stones, the dust, and the water that filled the trench. This was the day that the people of the LORD believed in the LORD their GOD and was brought back to Him.
Elijah the prophet, the priest, is a servant of the LORD, ministering unto the LORD and interceding for the people. And because of the intercession, doing and walking in the will of GOD, the people of GOD was brought back to the heart of worship, worshiping Him in truth.
The time of the prophets is at hand, and they are going to come about to do signs and wonders, bringing the people of the LORD back unto Him.
The prophets are going to arise to bring the heart of man back to the heart of GOD. Therefore, be on watch my children, for the ears and eyes of him are distracted by what they see and hear; focus on the matters of above and not below.
