Proverbs 19:21, the WORD says in KJV, “There are many devices in a man’s heart; Nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.”
Proverbs 16:9, the WORD says in KJV, “A man’s heart deviseth his way: But the LORD directeth his steps.”
The LORD has been mentioned to me briefly about His will versus man’s will. So the LORD said this, as you can see from the title: The will of man will not amount, but the will of GOD will. From these bible verses, as well, you can already determine whose purpose will prevail. The plans of a man is not going to amount because it is the LORD who has the final say.
The earth is the LORD’s and the fullness thereof, the world and all who live in it (Psalm 24:1). So no matter what anyone does in their life, whether it is good or bad, the LORD has the final say. He’s sovereign. He’s the LORD that has mercy on who He desires to have mercy. The LORD’s plan and purpose will prevail.
Think of the Israelites, when they were enslaved in the land of Egypt. The LORD sent Moses, to tell Pharaoh to let His people go. But Pharaoh continued saying no. But before Moses went before the Pharaoh to tell him to let the Israelites go, the LORD told Moses that He would harden Pharaoh’s heart so that he would say no. This is to briefly tell us that GOD has the power, the ability to shape our hearts to do what He wants to do, so that what He desires prevail. This also means that though we may have intentions in our hearts, it is the LORD that directs our steps.
So the LORD said this, as you can see from the title: The will of man will not amount, but the will of GOD will.
This is to tell us, that GOD’s will prevails over any man’s plans. The will/plan of the LORD is good, more so than five men can put a plan together. The LORD says in His WORD, in all your ways, acknowledge HIM, and He shall direct your path (Proverbs 3:6). Therefore, acknowledge that GOD’s plan will always prevails, He wrote the end of the book. Trust that He is the GOD who does what He says.
Acknowledge that GOD’s will will prevail. Acknowledge that HE who has begun, will finish what He started. Acknowledge that no matter what plan a man or an organization may make in his/their heart will not amount because it is limited. It is shortsighted. But when GOD directs, when His will goes forth, it AMOUNTS. It is NOT limited. His will prevails. His will is done.
Isaiah 55:10-11, “For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it”
Glory to the LORD.
