Test the spirit. Place it before the LORD and let the LORD lead you into all TRUTH.

Romans 13:14, the WORD says, “Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.”

Colossians 3:12, the WORD says, “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.”

Being clothed in Christ means you are a new creation, the old has gone and the new has come (2nd Corinthians 5:17). Our lives is now in Christ, not this world nor ourselves. Galatians 2:20, the WORD says,“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

Even John the Baptist said I must decrease so that He increase. We are also called to have the mind of Christ (1st Corinthians 2:16). Everything  about us, in the new WAY, must reflect Christ. In Colossians 3:12, the WORD says to be clothed in compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. 

We are to put on those things and walk in it. Jesus Christ walked in these things, on earth. He was kind and compassionate with the children, healing the sick, and feeding the five thousands. 

He was humble, not gearing attention to Himself but to the Father. He only did what His Father did. 

He was gentle, like a lamb to a slaughter, going to Golgotha to die for our sins. He was patient with the process of teaching His disciples the truth for there were things He needed them to do while on earth and when He was going to leave. 

So clothing ourselves in Christ will reveal the identity we have in Christ. We ought to reveal who Jesus Christ is in our lives, our words, our thoughts, and actions. 

Being clothed in Christ reveals the glory of GOD in us, when we received Jesus Christ as our LORD and Savior. Put off/Remove everything and anything that is sinful among you. These things that cause idolatry in your life. Jesus said that if your right eye or your right hand causes you to sin, it is better to pluck it off or cut it off than have your whole body thrown into hell. 

This is saying, do not let idolatry capture your heart that you miss the mark. It’s important to clothe ourselves in Christ because the world has to know who we are, salt of the earth, light of the world. 

Let us let our light shine and live in the love of GOD and loving each other. So that as others see, they will come to the light. Hallelujah!
