Romans 12:1-2 NLT

“And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to GOD because of all He has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice-the kind He will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship Him. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let GOD transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know GOD’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”

This is an important thing to understand and comprehend. For the LORD is calling the church to submit to His Will. Do you think that His will is too hard to follow? Do you think that His will is too difficult to understand? Nay, people of the LORD. Nay. 

The purpose of surrendering is to know and walk in His will. When you walk in yours, how will you know the will of GOD for your life? The thoughts of man and the thoughts of GOD are two different things. One is of the world and one is of the Spirit. The Eternal Spirit. So, for you to lean only on your own understanding, your own thoughts, is not going to get you anywhere, but will limit your self, your being, the way you ought to live life in the LORD. 

The LORD desires His children to understand this one thing: your willingness to submit to Him is your willingness to see what He has in store for you. Why deal with the world and its pleasures when the pleasures, the things of GOD are way better? You may be afraid, scared of the unknown, but know that as you trust and walk in His path, looking to Him and trusting in Him, He will reveal to you the destiny He has had for you before the beginning of the world.
