The first chapter of the book of Haggai is the one I am going to briefly talk about and I believe it is an important word for this season/time. I believe the LORD is looking to and fro and He has seen something that the church is ding at this time: they are building their own house rather than the house of the LORD. I believe that this has to do with the other words that I mentioned before that involves these bible verse: 1 Corinthians 3:11, Ephesians 4:11-15, Proverbs 24:3-4, and 2 Timothy 2:15.
The reasons I have talked about these bible verses is no coincidence. The LORD is calling the church to be in the WORD. You have to ask yourself, really, where you are right now with your spiritual growth. Are you walking in love? Are you walking in trusting the LORD? Are you spending time with the LORD via the WORD? Do you know who you are as a child of GOD? Do you know whose you are in the Father through Christ Jesus?
The WORD calls us to set our foundation on Jesus Christ, and build ourselves with the WORD by the Holy Spirit. We need to show ourselves approved, because if and when we are called out and send forth into the nations, we need to be prepared to stand in the WORD when oppositions come our way. We are also called, as I mentioned, building ourselves in the WORD, so that we know who we are and whose we are. John 17:3, the WORD says that eternal life is knowing the LORD Jesus Christ and the Father GOD. We also need to know that the five fold ministry, who are called to equip the body of Christ and lead you to Christ, is an essential group to be planted in the churches in this time.
The WORD refines, renew, transforms, and unveils who we are in the LORD Jesus and the Father and His mighty power (Ephesians 6:10 & Philippians 2:13). But we cannot know this if we are not in the WORD.
So at this time, it is not the time to build our own house: your dreams, your will, your way but it is the time to build the house of the LORD. This temple that we live, need to be a surrendered vessel before the LORD to be used for His purpose. But if we do not surrender ourselves to the LORD and continue to build our house, we will not prosper.
What is your hand leading you to build, the House of the LORD, or your house? The house of the LORD, the vessel that you live in, is the most important house to build because that is the only house, when it is build but he Holy Spirit (Zechariah 4:6), it will last. Forsake your dreams, and let GOD give you His dreams. Forsake your luxurious house, and start building the house of the LORD, not letting it be left in ruins. Walk in His way, plan, and purpose, rather than your purposes. His purposes is forever, while ours is not.
Make the decision to build the House of the LORD, the vessel that you are currently living in, to be a house of prayer, a vessel sacrificed unto the LORD for His will, plan, and purpose. He has a destiny for each and everyone of us. Therefore, let us walk in His destiny, and put down ours. Let’s carry our cross and crucify our flesh with its passion and desires.
You are called for more, therefore, grow to know more of who and whose you are in Christ Jesus and the Father. Glory to the LORD.
I urge that you pray for this and place this before the LORD and let the Holy Spirit lead you into all truth.
