While I was in prayer, I spoke something interesting: “whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life,” referring to John 3:16.
Then, the Holy Spirit talked about the WORD:
Eternal life is for those who do more than just believe but also read/study His Word. You cannot say you are in Jesus, in the Father, if you are not in the WORD.
He mentioned the Bible verse in Matthew 7:22-23, which says:
“Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!”

Here’s the NLT version:
“On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.”

When I read this I understood that being in Christ is more than just saying, it’s more than words. It’s also reading the WORD. That’s how you know the LORD. That’s how you walk your faith.
Luke 3:8 says to bear fruit in keeping up with repentance. Meaning, the develop the good fruit that bear witness to your conversion to Christ. Basically show me how how you are in Christ by your works, aka, read your WORD.
Joshua 1:8 & Psalm 1:1-3 highlights the command of the LORD to meditate on the WORD day and night, and those who do so are blessed, highlighting the benefits of reading/ studying the word.
James 2:14-26 talks about how faith and works go together, because faith without works is dead. If you believe in Jesus, then reading His WORD, getting to know Him will bear good works, good fruits.
Philippians 2:12 says to work your salvation. ➡️
“So then, my dear ones, just as you have always obeyed [my instructions with enthusiasm], not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence, continue to work out your salvation [that is, cultivate it, bring it to full effect, actively pursue spiritual maturity] with awe-inspired fear and trembling [using serious caution and critical self-evaluation to avoid anything that might offend God or discredit the name of Christ].”

So therefore, your life in Christ is more than just saying you are in Christ. It’s an everyday worship, honor, and praise unto Him. You grow to know Him. And you will grow to love Him.
If you are having a hard time reading the WORD, start with the stories or even the Bible verses I’ve listed. Read those chapters and ask the Holy Spirit, prior to reading, to reveal to you the WORD, to make them alive and active to you and He shall. What’s important here is you start, being consistent, and you will see many things you’ve never seen before. The Bible is more than just a book! It’s the LIVING AND ACTIVE WORD OF GOD!
May the LORD strengthen you to walk according to His will in these days. May He give you what you need accomplish His purpose. And May His love continually surround you with His glory.
