Welcome to the series of the Heart of Man, a series, by GOD’s grace, that encourages the body of Christ to grasp and trust in the WORD. That is, our LORD Jesus Christ. We are called to belong to GOD, and that begins with where our hearts lies. So in this series, the heart of man will be discussed in various topics, guided by the Holy Spirit. I pray that you heed the WORD and we, as the body of Christ, grow more to love Him with all our hearts.

In the beginning, GOD created the heavens and earth. And in the Earth, he created mankind. He created mankind with a certain order, conduct, authority, that should be carried all through generations, since He also mentions that we, mankind, should be fruitful and multiply (Genesis 1). Long story short, sin also came into the world, which disrupted our way to follow GOD’s way. Our conduct, the order to walk in the way of the LORD, and the authority that we carried no longer was our portion because, now, we’re led to follow sin. Producing enslavement to follow the world, but all the while, we belong to GOD, though we were no longer His children, but His creation.

GOD could have made us robots where we could be obedient to His ruling in a strictly manner. But GOD is merciful and loving and desires His children to freely come to Him. But for the longest time, decades upon decades, even though as the LORD chosen the Israelite’s as His people, the sin that entangles us led us away to not want to belong to GOD but follow the ideals and beliefs of the world.

Then, 2000 or more so years later, Jesus Christ, LORD and Savior made a way for us to be reunited with GOD. Where we can finally make the choice and be aligned with GOD’s order, conduct, and carry the authority we were commanded to have. But now here is the part where we now are currently living in, as the disciples and the Acts church lived in: standing for the cause of the Gospel while living in the world.

Because we are in Christ, we are called to live the life that ordained us to live, living life and life in abundance. However, the world wants to hinder us. Therefore, it is important to walk with the Holy Spirit. The Lord Jesus told the disciples to stay where they were so they can receive the Holy Spirit and be seized with power (Acts 1:7). It is the Holy Spirit, the Advocate, the Helper, who is the only who leads us into all TRUTH (John 16:13). He is also the One who reminds us who we belong to, which is the FATHER (Romans 8:16).

So what is this post about? Reminding you that you belong to GOD now that you are in Christ Jesus. And because you belong to Him, we need to walk as if we belong to Him, in our conduct, authority, and the right thinking. Therefore reiterating this: Love the LORD with all of your heart, mind, soul, and strength (Deuteronomy 6:5). Now that we are in GOD through Christ Jesus, our belonging should be with a surrendered heart to Him. Belonging to GOD means living a surrendered life before Him and men, private and publicly. But we cannot do this without the Holy Spirit.

And if you are reading this and you are not in Christ yet, know that GOD created you as His own and He wants you as His child once again through the Gospel of His Son Jesus Christ, who came on earth to save us from the wrath of GOD, giving the gift of eternal life through faith and living an abundant life on earth as it is in heaven.
