Happy New Year! It’s the new year and God is going to do great and mighty things. I hope you’re tear started off successfully and that You continue to place God above all for your year, in Jesus Name.

So, I wanted to briefly write on here about the Babylonian system if you’re not aware of what it is. I wanted to write on here a brief introduction of it so that you are aware if someone talks about it, particularly a Christian pastor or so.

Let’s get started.

What is the Babylonians System?

Well, let’s begin with idolatry. What is idolatry?

Idolatry is anything you make first and above God. remember the people of Israel.

The LORD send judgments to them due to their continual idolatry worship. Their hearts were hardened to not obey the LORD. So the LORD sent them to the Babylonians (Habakkuk 1:6).

This prophecy is found in the book of Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Isaiah, Daniel, and the books of the prophets.

The Babylonians captured them and they, the Israelites were under the Babylonian rule. This lasted for 70 years (Daniel 9:2; Jeremiah 25:11).

Now the Babylonians were idol worshipers. They worshiped from what I researched 2 false gods. One of them is called Ishtar. She is the goddess of war, fertility, and other things.

Now that’s that “history”. Now because the Israelites were under the Babylonians rule, they also found themselves worshiping false gods and also associated themselves with their system.

Think of the Babylonians system as the world system, which in a sense it is. So when a pastor or so mentions the Babylonians system, consider the world system, influencing people to worship idols, false gods, and all other things that are against the will, plans, and purposes of God.

Therefore, our system if I can say is to do what Romans 12:2 – “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

Even in Daniel 1:8 – “But Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine, and he asked the chief official for permission not to defile himself this way.”

This is what we as children of God should behave, like Daniel. We should not defile ourselves with the world, the Babylonians system. We may live in this world but we’re not of this world.

So this is the brief introduction to the Babylonian system.

God bless you.
