I have started reading the book of Ecclesiastes and writing my thoughts. I believe what I wrote, which I perceive to be the Holy Spirit who wrote this, is a timely word that spoke to me and I hope it speaks to you.
God created the heaven and earth, and everything in it for His purpose! All things are meaningless unless GOD is in it!
For us to live our life means nothing if GOD is not in it! For you to do things your own way will mean nothing, unless you do it His way! God created this world and we should walk according to His will, plan, and purpose. Us doing things by ourselves, following our thoughts, beliefs, and ideas led Sodom and Gomorrah to be destroyed.
It also led the world to be flooded for forty days because of the people going their own way, as the WORD says in Genesis 6:5, The LORD saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time. And Noah was the only man that walked faithfully with GOD.
Following our own ways is foolish because the fool says in His heart there is no GOD (Psalm 53:1), meaning that for you to go in the way you desire, better yet, unfortunately, your flesh, because you become who you follow, you are not acknowledging Him!
You are enslaved to sin rather than being free in Christ.
Think of the prodigal son, who wanted to go his way to a faraway land with the inheritance he gained from his father. The prodigal son misused his inheritance and was left with nothing. Finding out that this faraway land was nothing, he went back to his father. His father treated him better than the ones he met in the faraway land.
Know this: GOD deeply and highly loves you. His Lovingkindness is better than life. However, until you come to Him, you are in trouble, like a sheep out of the pasture. You need to be in His pasture and He shall take care of you. Humble yourself, repent of your sins, and ask Him to help you see Him in truth, not the way the world sees Him nor how you see Him, but His, because His thoughts and ways are higher than ours.
