The WORD, the Bible is the infallible word of God. We are told, or better yet commanded to meditate on it day and night so that we may be careful of what to do in it, leading us to be prosperous, according to Joshua 1:8. We are told to meditate on His truth because it would bring us success and prosperity, in such a way that we are not conforming to the world but walking in truth, righteousness, holiness, and the ways of the TRUE holy GOD.
When we delight in His TRUTH, we live in the light. When we delight in His WORD, we delight in having a well-lived life that acknowledges GOD in all of our ways. The WORD is greater than any miracles that you might encounter or even any prophecies.
I want to show this through 1st Corinthians 13:1-3. The WORD says, If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
This tells us that even if we were to give prophecies or do miracles, but we do not have the love in us, what good would it do? We need to show the love of GOD through miracles and prophecy, especially because we are doing this in the love, will, and purpose of GOD and loving others as He loves us. This is the same with the WORD, if we’re going to prophesy or do miracles, we need to ensure that we are always in the WORD. We are always grounded in the WORD.
We are always feeding on the word and have the HOLY SPIRIT to lead us to uncover the scriptures so that we comprehend it. The miracles and the prophecies cannot sustain you to live right with the LORD. Only The WORD does because the WORD leads you to uncover His will, plans, and purpose, doing the will of the FATHER. May we continually pray that the LORD helps us and sustains us in His WORD.
