The next few weeks or so, and with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, I’m going to do a weekly series called Reconciliation with GOD. I think this is important for the Children of GOD to recognize the LORD GOD we serve and why it is important to serve Him. He’s all that we need and I think we need to be constantly be reminded of that. The world and its ways can bring about life struggles in our beings, but when we are encouraged, strengthened, and comforted by the WORD and truly receive the WORD, our heart changes, our minds changes, and our perspective changes. This is the time to truly lean on the LORD because He alone helps us in our weakness. I hope these posts help and strengthens you to walk this narrow path that we children of GOD are called to: a path of life in Him, joy, peace, righteousness, truth, and holiness. John 8:32, the WORD says, Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. 

John 4:24, the WORD says, GOD is spirit, and His worshippers must worship in the spirit and in truth.

What is the definition of truth? 

According to Merriam Webster, as a synonym it is the verity, factuality, the body of real things, events and facts. 

So this is telling us that the truth is factual and is not false. We know that the Bible is also factual, it is verity. It is the infallible WORD of GOD that is sharper than any double edged sword, breaking rocks into pieces. It is the truth that sets us free. So we should deem it as the TRUTH, right?

But why aren’t people living in truth? One thing that comes to mind is that their mind is veiled. When your mind and/or is veiled, you are not able to receive the truth. The only truth that we people should deem important is the WORD of GOD. 

I have heard people say along the lines, “this is my truth.” And that is actually false, because we don’t have a truth. We have a perspective and an opinion. We don’t have a truth that we have concocted ourselves. Our truth is not factual, it is an opinion and a lie. 

What is truth is that I see the blue sky, I see the green grass, I see babies laughing, and I see airplanes in the sky. Those are truth and facts, because you can see them clearly right in front of you. But when you say that my gender is whoever you want to be, then that’s not truth, that’s a lie. The infallible WORD says that GOD made male and female. That’s the truth!

My brothers and sisters, we are living in a world that is filled with lies from the enemy and those things needs to be exposed. We need to walk in the TRUTH. We need to walk in the light, the light of the LORD Jesus Christ. 

False teachings

There is a difference between false and the TRUTH. 

Let’s look at the story Moses, when GOD called him to be the leader of Israel (Exodus 7:8-13). He went back to Egypt with Aaron, to talk to Pharaoh about letting the people, the Israelites, go. Now, GOD told Moses that there were going to be signs and wonders that were going to be shown to the Egyptians. We know that GOD is the GOD of truth. And as you know, if you’ve read the story, the truth came out about. There were signs and wonders, the 10 plagues. 

Now, specifically, I want to focus on the signs and wonders that happened between Aaron and the sorcerer when Moses and Aaron first visited pharaoh in Pharaoh’s place. Now, when Aaron threw his staff before the sorcerer and the Pharaoh, the staff became a snake. Now, the sorcerers also threw their staff, but one things that still impresses me is that the staff of Aaron, or the staff of GOD swallowed all the staff of the sorcerers. 

What does this tell you? 

If we consider the staff of Aaron, the staff of GOD to be the truth, and the other staffs of the sorcerers to be lies, this tells us the GOD, who is TRUTH triumphs over every lies. And observe this: several staffs of the sorcerers threw their staff after Aaron threw his staff, but there was only one staff that was from GOD. One TRUTH triumphs other lies! When GOD speaks, His WORD triumphs other lies! The snake of GOD swallowed all the snakes!

This tells you that GOD is the only ONE that speaks truth. Everything else is a lie.  GOD’s WORD endures forever. That is why it is alive and active! There’s multiple lies but ONE TRUTH! GOD is truth but let every human being be a liar (Romans 3:4). And this truth is Jesus Christ, the WORD, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. 

There is no other TRUTH beside HIM. He is the ONE that sets us free, breaking the lies of the enemy off of us. Setting the captives free and setting these bondage of lies to freedom by speaking the truth of the WORD. Jesus Christ said that He is the Vine and we, those who have professed Jesus Christ as LORD and Savior, are the branches (John 15:5). If we don’t abide in Him, if we don’t remain in Him, we are nothing. Having Him as the truth in our life is essential. He is, literally and spiritually, our bread and water. When we consume Him, we neither hunger nor thirst. 

My brothers and sisters, we need to abide in the LORD. His WORD is the only truth that sustains us. 

If you are listening to and receiving lies, that is eventually going to keep you hungry and thirsty, wanting for more. What lies are you listening to? What are you considering as truth?

And how do we test what is true and what is not true? First read your WORD. The WORD of GOD is infallible.

In Joshua 1:8, the WORD says, Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

And when I am talking about lies. What am I referring to? Let’s begin with my favorite bible verse, Romans 12:2.

The WORD says, Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

The false teaching in which I am referring to is the world, anything that comes forth from the world speak lies. They promote false teachings through movies, tv shows, music, and the likes. Some of them are opposite to the TRUTH of the WORD of GOD. Now I am not saying that all streams of media are bad or teach lies, but if you do not have the WORD in your life and the discernment of the Holy Spirit, you will consume all types of teachings, which can bring confusion, blindness, deafness, and a closed heart.

The WORD is not blinding nor confusing. We humans are imperfect, but the WORD is. Our levels of understanding and walking in wisdom is limited, but GOD’s truth is perfect and His ways are abundant in every way. 

I was just listening to the Isaiah via the Bible app, and this is what I understood concerning truth. From Isaiah 55:1-3, the WORD explain valuable things that we need to comprehend. The beginning of the chapter emphasizes and gives meaning to what truth is. People need to come buy it…come buy the wine, the presence of the Lord, The Holy Spirit. Come buy the milk, the Word. And the best thing is, it is without cost. The world gives you costs, but the Word doesn’t. When you eat the Word, and drink the milk of His Word, the change begin. 

“Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost.” Isaiah 55:1 NIV

If we decided to conform to the things of the world, we are spending money on what is not the true bread or true labor. What can we identify as labor? Anything that includes work…but false labor does not satisfy. True labor satisfy, one who comes to the LORD and has faith in Him will walk in true works or good works. 

You do not need to change yourself, He himself will change you as you walk in His ways and trust in HIM (John 3:21). Jesus is the bread of life, when you consume Him, you have life, and you will never hunger again. The world will always leave you hungry. But the LORD God doesn’t. 

What does it mean to never hunger? It just means that nothing is better than Him. He literally fills us up. He fills our cup. He’s our first love. He’s our strength. He’s our protector. He’s closer than a brother. He’s a Father to the fatherless and a husband to the widow. He’s our peace. He’s our comforter. He’s our redeemer. He is the Holy One, meaning that He’s all pure. No one on this earth is pure, only He is. And the best thing is, He’s perfect in every way. 

Abiding in Him, we would never hunger nor thirst again. He’s all that we need when things happen to us, He fulfills our needs. He’s the GOD-shaped hole inside of us that only He can fill. 

Testimony: For the longest time, when I was younger actually, I was hungry and thirsty, looking for that person that would make me whole and who would make me happy. I didn’t realize that Jesus Christ was the Only ONE who could fill me up. I was a Christian all my life and I didn’t get to understand this until a few years back. I can’t tell you how my whole life was bent on finding the “right” one, as well as other pursues. And this is search was due to not have a secure love attachment when I was younger. It led me to search for it in other places (Think of the song, ‘Looking for love in all the wrong paces’). But thanks be to GOD! He rescued me from it and I am complete in Him. 

“Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and you will delight in the richest of fare.” Isaiah 55:2 NIV

Also, when you receive this truth, when you listen to the bread of life, who is Jesus, who is the WORD, you will have life, therefore, living life and life in abundance. Living a life that is full of lies, leads to death. The LORD says, give ear to me so that you may live. God wants us to live, but we need to give ear to the right Word so we walk in the right direction. 

Giving ear to GOD leads us to walk in the right direction. 

“Give ear and come to me; listen, that you may live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, my faithful love promised to David.” Isaiah 55:3 NIV

God is the God of truth. He doesn’t dwell in the lie. You who live in the world, come to the truth. For if you live in the world, you are living in a world that is full lies. The world does not live in the truth. Jesus said, He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one can come to the Father, except through Him (John 14:6). 

Have you believed that there’s another way to heaven? To the true God? Have you heard that there are multiple ways to heaven? Have you heard to live life your way? 

No, there’s only one way to the Father God. And His name is Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son. When Jesus was transfigured in Luke 9:28-36, John, James, and Peter came with Him and saw what was happening. Few minutes after, a cloud surrounded the disciples and A voice told them, “Then the voice of God thundered from within the cloud, “This is my Son, my Beloved One. Listen carefully to all he has to say.”” Luke 9:35 TPT

What does this tell you? That we need to listen to Jesus Christ. We need to listen to the WORD. We need to listen to the TRUTH. He’s the only way to the Father. And when we listen to Him, we live. We truly live a life of truth. The world cannot and will not tell you the truth. It is veiled. It is deaf. It is confused. It doesn’t know who you are, only the Father, through Jesus Christ. 

We’re are all created as vessels for His glory. Jesus Christ, was a vessel for the glory of the Father as well. Though He was God and man, He humbled himself for the Father to use Him on earth (Philippians 2:6-8). Remember that Jesus said that I only do what my Father says. So for you to know the Father, and because you are His creation, go through Jesus Christ who will reveal the Father to you.

Have you been holding on to a lie that is not of Christ? Maybe you do not know, then ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you the lies, as He leads you into all truth. Repent of your sins, turn from your wicked ways and reject the lie of the enemy/world, embrace the truth, be cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ, and keep walking the everlasting pathway.
