**I desire you to take this Word and give it to GOD in prayer, test the spirits, and let the Holy Spirit lead you into all truth.
Some while ago, I was impressed to look for the word Jubilee, as I was also seeing the word in places. So I decided to look it up. I believe the LORD is mentioning the word Jubilee for this time. Why? I did some research and I landed on Leviticus 25. Let’s look at Leviticus 25, where the Jubilee is found. I think it is also relative to Isaiah 61:1. And I believe it connects with the story of Ruth, particularly the word Kinsman redeemer or guardian-redeemer.
Now learning about the Jubilee, it is focused on three things: restoration of land, freedom from slavery, and no toiling on the land.
Now according to the Jewish Calendar year, the new year starts in early October, when the Jubilee starts. Jubilee is on the 50th year of the Jewish calendar, which is going to happen this year. It is going to be the Jewish year, 5785. If we add them together, 5+7+8+5= is 25. Then 2+5= 7, which is the number of completion. So this can also mean that the new is soon to come, and with the Israelites new year coming early, there is going to be a completion of GOD’s plan that will unfold.
Jubilee begins in the 50th year, after the 49th year, which is a sabbath. The LORD tells the Israelites every 6 years, the people toil the land, but in the 7th year, there is a sabbath rest, meaning no harvesting or reaping the food from the ground. Now if we multiply 7 times 7, that makes 49.
So during that Sabbath rest, on the 49th year, there is a day of atonement, on the 10th month, which is called Tevet. The Israelites deny themselves of work and repent of their sins, an observance of the Sabbath to the LORD.
Then when the new year comes, or Tevet, the tenth month, there is a loud trumpet that is sounded, to call forth the Jubilee. During the Jubilee, as mentioned, land that was sold was given back to its owner.
The second purpose of the Jubilee is those that who could not afford to pay for their homes/property sold themselves to slavery to pay it off but in the year of Jubilee, they are set free. If a fellow Israelite was poor and sold some of their property, a kinsman redeemer or a guardian-redeemer, a relative of theirs who has the means could redeem back their land. This is found in the story of Ruth. It is also a time when families go back to their clan.
Another thing the WORD mentions is that the Israelites do not toil on their land. So how were they supposed to eat if they could not harvest or crop? Well, the LORD would bring about a special blessing on the land, in the sixth year, that would last about 3 years, in the eighth year. So during the 50th year, no one was to toil or work on the land, but just eat from the crops that were grown on the ground. The LORD desired the land to take a sabbath rest as well, as the people did.
So why is this important? Well, Jubilee begins for the Israelites in October of 2024, while we wait for 2025, I believe that the LORD is going to do something in the new year. Just like the Jubilee, a year, where the captives go free, Jesus Christ is our redeemer, setting us free, as found in Isaiah 61:1b: “…He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives, and release from darkness for the prisoners.”
We find that in this event, we have the revelation of people being set free from slavery and land being given back to the original owner. Like Jesus Christ, who came on earth to take back what the enemy stole, and now through Christ we have gained the authority we had in the beginning, subduing the earth and everything in it.
If you read the story of Ruth, we find a connection with Leviticus 25, as well as the revelation of Jesus Christ in Boaz. As Boaz redeemed Naomi and Ruth from poverty, Jesus Christ also redeemed us from difficult situations so that we no longer should live in poverty, sickness, or diseases (Isaiah 53).
Again, Jesus Christ is our guardian-redeemer! He redeemed us from sin, the sin that led to death, and awaiting the wrath of GOD. Like Ruth and Naomi, they were in a difficult situation, but Boaz redeemed them by marrying Ruth, having land, no longer being a servant, and having a son, who is in the lineage of King David, to Jesus Christ.
So take this to the LORD, pray into this in your own personal time, with the Bible and a notebook. Test the spirits! I believe that GOD is going to do something. As I mentioned with the Threshing, Barley Harvest, Repentance, and this Jubilee, something is going on and we need to be spiritually awake for it and seek GOD. We just need to be aware of it. Watch and Pray! And even in the midst of it all, TRUST GOD.
