Two days or so ago, I was reading Deuteronomy 29:19, then something hit me, and I think I was quickened. Reading this bible verse reminded me that for you to come to GOD, you must go through Jesus Christ, the way, the truth, and the life. You cannot go through a window. It is like the parable of the wedding banquet in Matthew 22:1-14. Salvation is only through Jesus Christ, the savior of the world. Also, you must be like Jesus Christ, living out GOD’s purpose as He did on earth.

Then it led me to a thought about grace. We, as Christians, should not take grace lightly. The gift of GRACE, the unmerited favor of GOD, is very pertinent for our walk with Christ because His grace is sufficient for us, giving us the power to overcome evil with good. Therefore, Paul says that he is then going to boast about his weakness so that he rests in Christ’s power (2 Corinthians 12:9-10). Though he is weak, he is made strong through Christ, the author and finisher of our faith.

Therefore, we cannot abuse grace and then go forth doing whatever we want in this life because we need to follow the way of the LORD, the commandments the LORD Jesus Christ gave us if you’ve read the four gospels.

What are those commandments? Love the LORD GOD and love others as we ourselves, which sums up the commandments.

I think this is what the LORD wants us to know today. Whoever is going to read this, understand that we cannot worship GOD and go our own way. We either worship GOD or the other. Release your ways, let go of yourself, and abound in GOD who helps us and desires us to be conformed to the likeness of His Son, Jesus Christ (Romans 8:29).

In Deuteronomy 29:19, this is what it says in the NIV:

When such a person hears the words of this oath and they invoke a blessing on themselves, thinking, “I will be safe, even though I persist in going my own way,” they will bring disaster on the watered land as well as the dry.”

Even Romans 6:1-2 says “What shall we say then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace increases? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?”

You cannot go about sinning and live under GOD’s grace. It is like one foot on dry land while the other is on water. Do not be lukewarm!

GOD desires us to trust and abound in HIM completely. Jesus Christ did not die for nothing. There was a high price He paid. He died for you because of HIS love for you. So why would you go try to live both worlds, when that should not be?

Brothers and sisters, that should not be. The WORD says to love the LORD GOD with all of our heart, soul, and might (Deuteronomy 6:5). It is ALL, not some.

GOD’s covenant still holds so be careful who you serve! Serve the LORD only, trust in Him, lean not on your own understanding, but in ALL your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path.

Let GOD direct your path. He knows where you need to go!

In Proverbs 16:25, it says “there is a way that appears to be right, but in the end, it leads to death.” Your way is just that, it seems right, but it leads to death.

Who are we to know the course of our life? Only GOD does!

Ask the Holy Spirit to help you so that you won’t go your own way but GOD’s way. Repent and turn to GOD fully.

Like our LORD Jesus Christ who submitted to GOD’s will let us humble ourselves and submit to His will!

His will is above ALL of our will!

Romans 12:2 says to not be conformed to the pattern of this world (which focuses on self)  but be transformed by the renewing of your mind so that you and test and approve what GOD’s will is- His good pleasing and perfect will.

In Galatians 5, Paul says that we are called to be free; we are called to live for GOD, not the world.

We are called to be free to love GOD, to love Jesus Christ, and to love others as we ourselves. However, we are to hate the things of the world, which are hostile to GOD.

Walk in the grace of GOD so that you may walk in His will, not yours.

Know that GOD loves you very much, so lean, abide, and trust in HIM. Know that He is ALL you need.

May the GOD of our LORD Jesus Christ, the author and perfector of our faith, strengthen you so that you turn and fully trust in HIM.
