Psalm 127:3 “Children are GOD’s love-gift; they are heaven’s generous reward.” (TPT)

A few days ago, or less, I was reading Luke 1 where it is talking about the prophecy of John the Baptist and Jesus Christ. The angel Gabriel appeared to Zachariah and Mary giving them the good news of the birth of a child they were each going to have. 

John the baptist was going to the Prophet of the Most High that would “turn the hearts of the fathers back to the children, and the disobedient to the attitude of the righteous [which is to seek and submit the will of GOD] – in order to make a ready people [perfectly] prepared [spiritually and morally] for the LORD.’ (Luke 1:17 AMP)

And Jesus Christ, the Son of the Most High, and our Savior and LORD, was going to give us, “salvation from our enemies, And from the hand of all who hate us; to show mercy [as He promised] to our fathers, and to remember His Holy Covenant [the promised blessing], the oath which He swore to Abraham our father; To grant us that we, being rescued from the hand of our enemies, Might serve Him without fear, In holiness [being set apart] and righteous [being upright] before Him all our days.” (Luke 1:71-75). 

Therefore, as I was reading this, talking to the LORD, then all of the sudden, I was reminded that Jesus and John the baptist were called by GOD the Father to fulfill His purpose. In the previous post that I made, it is true that GOD Himself formed us in the womb of our mothers. GOD and the Holy Spirit, formed John the baptist and the LORD Jesus, preparing them to fulfill their destinies on earth. 

This is to say this: every baby that comes into this world was made for GOD’s purpose. Again, to stop their lives is to say they don’t belong on this earth. But who are you to say that they are not fit to live on this earth? Only GOD chooses who stays and who goes, if I can say that. And nothing is impossible with GOD, and I’ll just leave it to that. 

What I’m also saying is this: Mothers and soon to be mothers, you are the greatest people that GOD has ever made! You are not just a mother, you are a precious human being that GOD gave you the ability to give birth to precious children that are called to change the world, who are called by GOD, as you are also called by GOD. So do not take your position for granted. 

Let’s look at what the angel Gabriel said to Mary, the mother of Jesus, “Greetings favored one! The LORD is with you.”

This greeting is somewhat similar to the greeting that the angel of the LORD gave to Gideon, in Judges 6:12 saying , “…The LORD is with you, O brave man.”

Gabriel also said in verse 30 of Luke 1, “…Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with GOD”. In the TPT, it says, “…Do not yield to fear, Mary, for the LORD has found delight in you and has chosen to surprise you with a wonderful gift.”

So as you can see, children are a gift from GOD. And taking care of them is a privilege for us women, if GOD permits us, to birth children that would grow to walk in His purpose and His calling. And most of all, knowing the LORD Jesus Christ as their LORD and savior, who is the author and finisher of their faith, and yours. 

This is my say to you, as well as myself, as a woman that will become a mother when her time comes by the grace of GOD, that when GOD gives you children, treasure them, love them, and know that GOD gave these particular children to you, personality, character and all. He knew what HE was doing when He gave you those children. 

Finally give them to the LORD as well (dedicate them), because though they are in your care, they still belong to GOD, as we belong to GOD.
