One day, I was reading 2 Chronicles 20:17, and this verse just popped out of the page, as people say.

I wrote a blog about this chapter before, but this particular verse stood out to me a lot and I wanted to share this with you.  If you are going through a season or situation where things are coming against you and you do not know what to do.

This is GOD’s answer for you: Take your position, stand firm, and see the deliverance the LORD will give to you.

What does this mean?

It means that yes, you will face situations in your life that you would not even be able to handle on your own. So what do you do? As King Jehosaphat did, though he feared, he inquired of the LORD. He sought the LORD and the LORD answered him.

The LORD answered, in verse 17, “You need not fight in this battle; take your position, stand and witness the salvation of the LORD is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the LORD is with you.’” (AMP)

Take your position, stand firm, and see the Deliverance the LORD will give to you.

How do you take your position? Take your position as GOD’s child. Know that when you are GOD’s own, He is for you, therefore who can be against you? So take your position as a child of GOD.

Joshua 1:5 “…Just as I was with [present] with Moses, so I will be with you; I will not fail you or abandon you.” (AMP)

How do you stand firm? Stand on the WORD and in the LORD. Do not be moved but speak the WORD and meditate on the WORD and hold on to those promises.

Psalm 119:105 says, “Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.”

Ephesians 6:10 “In conclusion, be strong in the LORD [draw your strength from Him and be empowered through your union with Him] and in the power of His [boundless] might.”

How are you going to see the LORD give you deliverance? You won’t even have to do a thing. Just as the people of Judah took their position but still have to go face these enemies, what happened? The LORD set ambushes on their enemies, and all the people of Judah had to do was to take their plunder.

Psalm 3:3  says “But you, O LORD, are a shield for me, My glory [and my honor], and the One who lifts my head.” (AMP)

So friend, as King Jehosaphat and the people of Judah did, we need to rejoice and be thankful unto GOD whose mercies and love endures forever, because He will and has triumphed over our enemies. Let’s thank and praise GOD in advance because He will do it as we continually trust in Him.

So be girded friend because the LORD is going to deliver you. STAND FIRM!

Psalm 54:7 “ For He has rescued me from every trouble, And my eye has looked with satisfaction (triumph) on my enemies.” (AMP)
