when GOD has a purpose, He will fulfill it

For the past few years, God has been revealing to me a bit of my calling, which relates to the story of Nehemiah and countless other stories. But I want to focus on Nehemiah in this post.

If you’ve read the book of Nehemiah, you see his position begins as a servant for a king who did not, I believe, know GOD. But we all know that GOD can guide a person’s heart to fulfill His purpose. Because He is GOD.

As you read Nehemiah’s book, you see that GOD placed a desire in Nehemiah’s heart to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. How do I know that?

Nehemiah’s brothers came to tell him of the news of the Jewish remnant and how the walls of Jerusalem were destroyed. After hearing this, he wept, prayed, and fasted to the LORD, requesting favor to go back to Jerusalem and rebuild the walls of Jerusalem.

Forward, we read Nehemiah’s prayer request was accepted because it was GOD’s will. The king gave him the supplies and the ability to go forth. In 2nd Corinthians 9:8, It is written that GOD can make all things abound, but in all things, at all times, you have what you need to abound in every good work!

As you can see, GOD, by putting a desire in Nehemiah’s heart, led him to go forth in GOD’s favor and accomplish the will of GOD.

“[H]e who forms the heart of all, considers everything they do.” Psalm 33:15 NIV

“May it please you to prosper Zion, to build up the walls of Jerusalem.” Psalm 51:18 NIV

This is to say this: There will always be provision when GOD has called you to do something. He’s the GOD that finishes what HE started; you should be, too! But let’s remember that there will be opposition. As the LORD Jesus Christ said, you will have troubles, but He has overcome the world in John 16:33.

The opposition against Nehemiah was Sanballat and Tobiah. But remember, whatever is against you accomplishing the purposes of GOD is genuinely against GOD, And GOD will fight for you and go before you.

He is your comfort and your peace.

“…in quietness and trust is strength.” Isaiah 30:15

So He will give you strength when in need and help you stand, so you continue to stand.

May those that come against you have a change of heart by the love of GOD In Christ Jesus, and may they repent of their going against the plan of GOD.

Overall, know that GOD will care for you when you continue to walk in His ways and His good, pleasing, and perfect will.

God bless!
