Hello All!
Today, I have another mini teaching or thought-provoking meditation of the WORD: What thought seeds are you cultivating in your mind?
“You won’t die!” the serpent replied to the woman. “God knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil.” – Genesis 3:4-5
I believe the Holy Spirit revealed this to me while reading and studying the verse.
How did Eve commit the sin she committed? She planted the lies from the snake in her mind, then cultivated it into sin.
You see, like a seed that grows into a plant, this is the same when you cultivate a thought that comes to your mind. The seed can be either good or bad, a flower or a weed. In the case of Eve, sin cultivated a lie that grew in her mind and led her to sin.
Eve knew the command of the LORD because she repeated it to the snake, but instead, she entertained the thought, if I can communicate this gently.
You may be in this position. Maybe you are holding on to the promises of GOD, but there is a thought seed that discourages you and tells you the opposite of the WORD. These words bring you down or tell you something that brings you to yourself rather than GOD. My brothers and sisters, that is the lies of the enemy, the lie and manipulation of the snake!
To stop these thoughts, you speak the WORD of GOD against the lies as Jesus Christ did in Matthew 4. Meditate on the WORD and speak it.
Cultivate good, powerful thoughts based on Philippians 4:8, which says, “And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.”
The more you ponder on the attributes of these thoughts, based on the verse above, and you cultivate them, it brings more life to your mind, your soul, and your life.
“The words of the godly encourage many, but fools are destroyed by their lack of common sense.” – Proverbs 10:21 NLT
Think good thoughts such as the WORD. The more you dwell in the WORD and put it into practice, the more your mind changes!
So, what thoughts are you cultivating today? Are they life-giving words? Do not let the enemy feed you the seed of lies. Feed your mind with the WORD, the promises of GOD that give you life, and you will stand against the enemy’s scheme, assignment, and attack.
I hope this post blessed you.
