What is GOD’s Will for you?

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Hello everyone. I hope you are well. The other day, I was reading 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 and meditated on it a bit. In this verse, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, Paul tells us the lifestyle of a Christian, a child of GOD. He mentions three things: always rejoice, pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstances.

These three sum up to this: It all comes down to building a relationship with the Father and the LORD Jesus Christ (John 17:3). There is a reason to rejoice always, to pray continually, and there is a reason to give thanks in all circumstances.

It is all because of what Christ did on the cross. It’s how He said in John 16:33, “…I have overcome the world.”

So there is a reason to rejoice or many reasons to rejoice. Also, we have been given the right to come to the Father, the Holies of Holies, through the blood of Jesus Christ!

So we can talk to Him, spend time with HIM, and lay our cares before Him, according to Psalm 62:8 and Psalm 55:22! So there are reasons to pray continually.

Lastly, GOD’s thoughts and ways are more significant, excellent, and higher than ours. If He knows the details of our life, surely He knows what you are going through, making everything work together for our good and His purpose.

So there are reasons to give thanks in all circumstances.

These three things are essential because it focuses your mind on Him, not the world. You rejoice because you know He is GOD, you pray continuously to Him because He listens and cares for you, and you give thanks because He has not left nor forsaken you! It is placing our faith in Him, in doing these things no matter the circumstances, which leads us close to Him.

May the Holy Spirit help us abide in this in Jesus Christ!

So are you in the will of God, pertaining to this verse? Are you rejoicing, praying, and giving thanks?

I hope this mini post blessed you.
