praise with victory within reach

I believe the Lord GOD desires me to write this. I may not know in what way or fashion, but I will write it. I urge you to pray about it and tests the spirits. May GOD lead you into all truth.

There is a story I believe that I was led to read in 2 Chronicles 20, in which the WORD talks about a situation that King Jehoshaphat went through.

Also, just for your information, the name Jehoshaphat means “Yahweh is judge.” This makes sense now due to what is being discussed in the chapter.

Therefore I recommend that you grab your bible, a notebook, and a pen with a highlighter to highlight some things that the Holy Spirit might also highlight to you.

So, in the story, we read that King Jehoshaphat, the king of Judah, was receiving threats from 3 kings: the king of Moab, Ammonites, and some Meunites that aimed to start a war against him.

So, afraid of this news, King Jehoshaphat went before God and cried out to Him along with the people of Judah by fasting and praying. They call out to God, and God answered them.

And I really like what the Spirit of God said, speaking through the Levite,” Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s…”

Because of this news, the king and the people of Judah began to praise the Lord. And because of this praise, even to the day of the war, something miraculous happened…

The enemies died! God led them to kill each other, and none survived.

To a short story short, King Jehoshaphat was blessed by gathering the enemies’ spoils while continuously praising God.

So what does this all mean? What is this chapter telling us?

The Holy Spirit may give you something entirely different, but I received from reading and meditating that no matter what you go through, if you feel that things are against you, God will fight for you.

It reminds me of the verse Proverbs 3:5-6 which says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight. “

This tells us that we should always trust God with all of our hearts, no matter the circumstances.

Psalm 56:3 says, “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”

King Jehoshaphat was scared and fearful of the news, so what did he do? He didn’t wallow over what the kings said to him; he inquired of the Lord. He sought the Lord through fasting and petition.

Then, as the king presented His request before God, God answered Him through a Levite, comforting the king that God would take care of it; all we need to do is not be afraid and, of course, give praise to God because the Lord inhabits the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3).

And because they gave praise by faith, not knowing how they would defeat the enemies, they marched on and stood firm on the Word. And God fought for His people!

Ain’t our God a good God? He’s the God that fights our battles, and none can stand against Him! Hallelujah!!!

So, this is talking to me as well.

Therefore, I believe that God wants us to seek Him with humble hearts, knowing He’s the only one who can show us the path to the path we need to go.

He’s also telling us not to be afraid but put our heartful trust in Him. He wants us to stand firm and know that He has already gone before us, making the paths straight and leading us to the victory already declared.

I believe that God wants us to praise Him even if we do not see the victory. God has already determined, by WORD, and made it final that victory is already in motion, therefore praise God in advance for what wonders he’s going to do.

“Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21 NIV

So my fellow readers, my brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ, what will you do when encountering trouble, challenges, or circumstances? Are you going to wallow?

Or are you going to seek God, hear His declared promise, and give Him the praise of what He’s about to do and has already said done, and done?

Baruch Hashem Adonai.

And the thing is, as I was writing this, this song also came about! Praise the Lord!!!
